Worst October Of My Life! - ABA DSS

Hello everyone i am finally back. My god what a month. Well about 4 weeks ago i got laid off from my job, not just me but many people, so i was pretty depressed. went to Puertorico with my wife and spent some time with family,
well there had been lots of reports of swine flu in pr, so i was pretty nervous.
I tried to get into aba a few times on my iphone but was having issues, not much signal over there. As some of you know, i have legionnaires disease and asthma so i could get sick very easy. I remember one particular day me and my wife went to the store and someone behind us was coughing allot, and looked horrible. My wife joked that i would get sick now and sure enough the next day i woke up with a high fever. spent 9 days in a Puertorican hospital , with fever and asthma. It was the worst hospital i have ever seen. they said i had the swine flue and the put me on Thama flu, So may people with swine flu over there, and many Dying. So my wife did not want to come and visit me, but she did. The doctor even put her in Thama Flu to. Well long story short they let me out after 9 days and and i still did not feel right. i asked the doctor to make sure i could fly, and i was not contagious. he said no problem. Caught the first plane Home and kissed the ground when i got home.Well a few days after i got home i got sick again. Went to my doctors and ran lots of blood test and they found out that i had pneumonia, that is what i had all along, not the swing flu, my doctor said that he does not know how i did not get the flu being with so many patients that had it, but i did not. Thank God! so i am home now and i just got called back to work, and hopefully i stay working and no more sickness, Great To Be Back With Everyone, Take Care Moon!

It never fails... you go to see family and friends on a vacation and BAM... you get sick and everyone is miserable!!
I am sorry you got sick... especially when visiting your family. I know that their hospitals are not like ours.
I am happy to hear you are better now AND got your old job back!!!

great to have you back, moon! i'm sorry to hear you got sick down there, but at least you were blessed to be in a country with hospitals, regardless of their inaccurate diagnosis.

life has a way of throwing things at you. but the good part is your immune system kicked in and fighting off everything. glad to hear your feeling better and you will get stronger !

i went to asia for 3 weeks last month too, but didnt get sick. enjoyed the food tho !!

WOW Moon!! I knew you were having work issues and I thought that's why we didn't hear much from you. The thoughts of you going through all of that makes me so sad...but I'm happy the worst is over....you are well and and back to work. Please be careful!! You don't need anything more happening to you. Pneumonia can come back on you...I know I had it for 3 months last summer...no fun!!
