It's time for STB updgrade?
Hi Folks,
It's been a while since i asked questions about STB's but i think it's time for me to get me an IKS STB but dont' know what good out there? I saw a few manufacture made these IKS STB: Nfusion, CNX, K-Box and Sonicview.
If you can advise base on your expeirence which manufacture are better and the model of that manufacture? I'm not looking into any HD STB yet because i want to test drive the SD STB first before commit to any HD.
All your advices are much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Re: It's time for STB updgrade?
#1 for up time nfusion (hd or phoenix models) #2 cnx or kbox.. would not consider sonicview at this time as their iks hub solution is not as stable or reliable..

Your post already has them listed in order of reliability and uptime.

Re: It's time for STB updgrade?
Can not agree with Nfusion on top for UPtime.
Lineup Nfusion is the champion(also for setup too!) and if you're looking for that Nfusion is the machine that you want...
Now if you're looking for stability and UPtime...sorry guys but Kbox on top hands down.
Kbox team also made a huge improvement for the latest BIN file(2.11) so there is no more file for activation..file for this or that...now is all in one...setup easy and fast.

And I'm the CNX Nano2 pusher around here lately.
They forgot to mention iLink is contender now.
Please do your homework...all the info is here somewhere...read...read...read.

Re: It's time for STB updgrade?
I have all four and as far as uptime and less freezing and stability kbox is at the top...nfusion and cnx are excellent also...forget about sv...you'll be wasting your money...nfusion has the most channels if thats what you're looking for

Hey buddy...is it true, kBox has no adults? (or few?)
Also, is it true nFusion has no EPG data?

Kbox has a couple adults and my solaris only has the guide...epg on kbox is great and the pic beats the solaris...cnx nano I think has a better pic than the solaris...hadn't tried the phoenix yet but I hear its pic is top notch.

Thanks!
Well, CNX gets all the adults...this is why I place CNX above kBox right now.
Also CNX has EPG data...so that puts it ahead of nFusion? (plus PVR & USB recording)
CNX picture is good as Coolsat or Sonicview...and better than nFusion.
For the above reasons...it seems CNX is out front!
Now, consider the CNX Nano2 for $100. delivered...nobody offers more for less $.
And from what I hear...the iLink is just as good as CNX...as they both have similar format/support. (with 100 new HD channels being added to BEV lineup soon)
The iLink is just not as popular yet.

Re: It's time for STB updgrade?
CNX does have an excellent epg and picture SJ and its getting more of the 400 sports channels for anyone who likes college football....but the kbox does have a better picture I think...to be honest though whether anyone choosed cnx, kbox or nfusion they won't go wrong...also kbox has had NFL Sunday Ticket wide open all season which cnx and nfusion hadn't.

Re: It's time for STB updgrade?
Kbox has best picture quality for SD and almost zero freezing. Nfusion has the most channels, but it does have the occasional freeze. I would stay clear of Sonicview until they get everything working correctly. Good Luck

Re: It's time for STB updgrade?
i love the nfusion hd.all sports in the 400s open.its got 100 sport channells open on bv and dn.lots of hd channells working.all porn channells open and the most locals then any box.the hd box dont freeze that much.with it does freeze alittle thats when thay are adding more channells.most boxs freeze alittle when thay add new channells.and nfusion been adding new channells allmost every day.and the other boxs dont add that many channells at all.nfusion hd has it own sever i think that why the hd dont freeze that much.and nfusion right now has 973 channells open on bv and dn.there kicking a-s.and my sv 8000hd is resting for the year

There is a Private EKS. Costs around $100 but I am unsure how the support is ans if it is still going.
