Re: Multiple Sclerosis-New Study
Thanks for the information, zekester. The wife of a good friend of mine has MS, and it would be great to see these findings lead to an effective corrective treatment.

Re: Multiple Sclerosis-New Study
I've seen and heard of people with MS from simply consuming too much aspartame. This lady would drink 4 -5 Diet Coke a day. Finally someone informed her of aspartame intake and she quit all consumption of that poison. 2 weeks later and her MS was gone. Thanks Zeke, will be watching.

Re: Multiple Sclerosis-New Study
Aspartame and lyme disease are two of many that imitate symptomology of MS. I'm glad she was misdiagnosed and found her problem. It wasn't her MS that was gone, it was the intake of Aspartame that was ceased.

Re: Multiple Sclerosis-New Study
CCSVI(Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency) is just the tip of the Iceberg.
The fact that they found a link to Blood Flow and MS likely will mean many other neuro degenerative diseases are related to BLOOD flow to and from the Brain, seriously affecting the way Doctors will look at MS and othe related diseases. I'm just afraid that all the Drug companies that have sponsored/paid for all the past studies and new MS hospital wings/research centres, will fight the findings. Remember, their stance has been it's a Neuro-Muscular degeneration, that they fight with Interferon drugs. If the Study is proven, the Drug Companies won't only loose their shirts but all their drug comsuming patients, a huge hit.

Re: Multiple Sclerosis-New Study
You got that right with "they'll take a big hit". So tired of doctors who just give you drugs to mask symptoms instead of looking at different avenues to actually heal yourself or make things alot better. Everybody trained to take a pill for whatever medical problems you have. There is also a link between a gluten-free diet and MS. I had over 15 different medical problems with the consumption of the protein gluten found in the wheat family. ( wheat, barley, rye and oats) Arthritis, asthma, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, canker sores, immune system problems (mono), constant bloating and gas, chest pains, dermatitis, cavities (gluten wears down your teeth enamel) , severe fatigue, muscle weakness, hives and the list goes on. Celiacs are more prone to MS and has alot to do with our certain genes we have. There comes a day when you have to take over your health problems and don't waste anymore time at the doctor and pharmacy. Last time I had 2 beer, arthritis got so bad overnight that I couldn't walk the next day without extreme pain. Been gluten-free now for almost 3 yrs. and 75% of my problems are gone. Certain damage was done over 15 yrs. and I cannot reverse it. Peggy had an idea that maybe a health forum on ABADSS should be opened and we could share all of our knowledge to help each other out. Hey...if we can help each other with the ISTUB, we can help each other with our health. We have to have energy to reboot, reload, rescan, repoint and of course watch some TV. lol Everyone take care and refuse to give up. Hope your knees Zeke are feeling better and the raccoons have learnt to repoint.

Re: Multiple Sclerosis-New Study
Don't get me wrong the Drug Companies have helped out enormously with their production of interferons, but they are a medicine for the symptoms, not a cure. I tried Avonex and Rebif, wish I hadn't, can't say why.
Now they are looking at treating Cause not Affect, and that will be the end of the interferon drugs. . Love the idead of a Health Forum, and Peggy's the one to get it done, being a Mod, and a gracious Lady and ALL. ![]() . Also, glad you found YOUR remedy. ![]() . Quote:

Re: Multiple Sclerosis-New Study
I cannot take away from anyone certain drugs that must be consumed to help with various problems. If they help you get thru the day, then all the power to you. Had major problems with side effects from all the crap I consumed over the years to help with all my health issues. Finally I had enough and started to stop medications one at a time over some years. They would help you with one thing but cause 2-3 other problems. No doctor will still say that I'm celiac even after 15 or so years of symptons. They know nothing about celiac and their tests are useless. To make it worse, they don't want to learn about it. I hope this MS info can help Zeke and everyone who suffers from it.
