Just recently heard about fta satellite from a friend of a friend. Currently am subscriber to DirecTV and am considering an fta receiver/dish. Found your site trying to educate myself. I guess one of my first questions is what are the pro's and con's of fta compared to DTV/Dish other than costs?

well pro's i would say you don't have a monthly bill which is one very important one. This site has fantastic support which is also on the list because how good is the fta/stb without good support

cons well the only downside is when the system is not up and running, and lately that doesn't seem to be happening. Make sure you choose a good stb such as viewsat they have the best support in my opinion
