Good morning ABA Family!
It's Super Bowl Sunday!! Happy 6 year ABA Anniversary to Bellina and Happy 5 year ABA Anniversary to Monoxid!! Congratulations to you all! Happy birthday and ABA anniversary to those of you that are celebrating your special day today....sorry I missed you. Sunshine again today, then we should have rain tomorrow or Tuesday. Big storm is headed East, so buckle down everyone, looks like it could be a bad one!! Please be careful, stay warm and safe! Coyotes had a bigger bite than the Sharks.....took them down.  5-3! Wings lost to the Oilers in another SO 5-4. How did your team do?? Depression and Chronic pain go hand in hand. Having chronic pain is difficult enough. Now add the emotional and physical consequences of depression. Left untreated, depression can spiral downward becoming so severe that life hardly seems worth living for some people. Pain causes depression, but because of mind-body connections, depression also can increase the suffering associated with pain. Cycles of pain and depression can lead to lowered motivation to stay active and tension in family relationships. Life feels like a roller coaster, exhausting your energy resources and making you moody and irritable. Some natural treatment methods for depression include: exercise (especially walking), talking to a close friend, clergy-person or counselor, spending time outdoors, and most of all socializing and getting support. Whatever you do, try to maintain a positive attitude and NEVER give up!!! If you know of someone that is struggling with chronic pain or has been ill for some time, give them a call or a visit and let them know you care and you are there for support. Our special list of members have various challenges, and need our prayers and support. Getting a good night's sleep is an especially important part of how our bodies function, allowing the body to rest, recuperate and heal from the day to day stresses and expectations. This is a good time to work on getting healthier...right??  So try to eat less processed food and more fresh fruits and vegetables, exercise, and get some sleep!!
