Hi all, I got some simple questions that need some real simple easy answers. Can anyone here help at all?

First person to help sees me topless. No, just kidding. But I've put several posts now and seen no replies. Not even a hello or a welcome. Getting desperate. Am I communicating in another language or what? Where are all the smart and intelligent people I've seen helping newbies on this site?

Everyone in the states with their FTA receiver gets themselves a dish and points it to DISH Network on EchoStar 8/10 at 110.0°W
or they point it to DISH Network on Anik F3 & EchoStar 7 at 119.0°W

These are all good channels from DISH network which uses Nagravision 2 encoding.

So DirecTV with its videoguard encryption cannot be accessed with FTA? DirecTV is off limits?

I'm in COLOMBIA, SOUTH AMERICA.

The only apparent networks here are:

DirecTV Latin America on Galaxy 3C at 95.0°W
Videoguard encryption.

Is this off limits for FTA?

Okay the next one is:

Telefónica TV Digital Colombia on Amazonas at 61.0°W
with Nagravision 2 encryption.

Am I safe to assume that with an FTA receiver and dish I can access Telefónica TV Digital Colombia on Amazonas at 61.0°W which has same encryption as DISH?

Will I get that network?

Finally, can I get 110 and 119 Dish network in Colombia? Or not? That's it. That's all I really want to know.

Someone please answer this for me, before I hang myself waiting for an intelligent, smart person to come along and set me straight.

Hey Carp,

I have a few friends brought recievers back to deep South America, and they are able to get all channels, just like all of us over here. But it's require a 36" dish or bigger to able to get DN channels.

You wont be able. YOU way down there. Youc an check Amazonas 61W.

Also not even with C band you will get it.Only cover the North America..

Well if you want the whole Amazonas with Telefonica,Telmex,Sky Nrazil. The only that I had read is the Azbox receiver. You can google and loo for FTA in Spanish. Alot of members from Chile and Colombia have the whole Amazonas open.
