Welcome to the site loving69
I'd go with the Ultra but if you want a PVR go with the Viewsat PRO
Their about the 2 best right now.
The Ultra is a very nice STB and I'm sure you would like it.

The PRO a PVR (Personal Video Recorder)
The ultra is the latest one out so it is much better than the extreme

Well for starters it looks like you'll have to upgrade your membership to get into the downloads.
For info please go here:

When this is completed you'll have plenty of help.

If your stuck on ViewSat then go with the Ultra NOT the Pro.
The Pro will likely be a doorstop very soon.
Personally, I like CoolSat...good support & been around for ever...still going strong. (owner of ViewSat just got busted...the future for VS???)
The PVR is like Tivo, so you can record...not as simple to use & cost more.
* First get the unit...then we can help you get it working.
You don't buy a satellite...just select them from space.
You will go for DN on Satellites 110 & 119 for now.
Get a Dish500 with Quad LNBs for 1-4 receivers (either DP or Legacy). Ebay
