All you need is a diseq switch, four port. You didn't say what type LNB's you have or what sats you are trying to get, so, it's hard for me to give you any further help till you can give us this info

I am also new to this site.

Spent a few hours trying to figure out how things work here. Had some service person hooked up a Viewsat Platinum Lite, pointing at 121.0W, 82.0W & 91.0W early last year. Right before X’mas all channels were gone and the service person "disappeared" simultaneously.

After reading the FAQ section, I found out the following (please correct me if I am wrong):

(1) I have to join the membership and paid the due.
(2) Need to get a PC and download the Loader2.
(3) Find a USB to serial cable and link the Viewsat Platinum Lite with the PC.
(4) Search the latest update for the Viewsat Platinum Lite and fetch it with Loader2.
(5) Run the updater and flesh the ROM of the Viewsat Platinum Lite.

If everything goes well, the pictures should come back, right?
Your advice will be appreciated!

Don't feel bad about being lost...I have been a member for a while now and I am still as lost as I was at the beginning! Only place am sure where to post is in general threads but I bought the support package..lol..is that not dumb or not??? I just call it blonde!
Now I saw a fix called DBPSW-080104X and I "think" it may be for a sv2000 but I don't even know. All these letters are ?? I would say Greek to me but hell I understand more Greek words than these letters.
Do you happen to know if that fix would be for a sv2000 extreme??
They have some great moderaters on here though to answer questions and are sooo funny too.

To start with, I need to apologize for having little knowledge with PC (had been using Apple computer all along). Thus your further help is vital!

Questions:

(1) Where can I download "Loader2"? Can I found it inside ABAdss.com?

(2) Is there any particular PC I should get to run the updater? Will old unit borrowed from friends be able to do the job?

(3) Dug into the original package/ box of the Viewsat and cannot find any wire. Looked at the back of the Platinum Lite and located the serial port…….. Anyway is the "USB to serial cable" the right cable?

We have the loader 2 here in the download section. I think most windows version of microsoft will work, Windows XP is great. Yes you can use a USB to serial...Take a look at this link...

The best way to get two birds is with a Dual eye LNB like the Dish Pro LNB. You really don't have to have two dishes. Just get you a Y- yoke and dual LNb. Then just run one cable from your Dish to your STB...
