very new to this - ABA DSS

hello everyone, well im bran new and would like a little advice.. i want to set up a seperate satellite from my home dn. i want to be able to take it camping with me. i have a bran new in the box dtv dish ( with one head)(its the single lnb i think its called) what do i need and will this dish work? do i need to get a different lnb? what type of receiver do i need ? and is this all i need? or can someone explain what i need to do?

If you use the small DTV Dish and a single LNB you will only be able to get one sat, DN has two sats 110 and 119. I use a Dish 500 dish with 2 std LNBs on a tripod for my Motorhome, works great, it picks up 110 and 119 with no problem.

can you get a multiple lnb w/dtv? or would you suggest getting a dn 500?

Just get a second legacy (like you have) LNB..****e a hose clamp to strap it to the LNB mounted on the arm. Feed both into a DiSEqC and the DiSEqC to your STB. You just made your own Dish 500!

What sgt has suggested will work, it takes some time to get the signal but once your get it and have the LNBs mounted stable it should be fine. Its worth the try, cheaper to get an LNB than buying another dish and LNB. Line it up with 110 and then install 2nd LNB where you get the signal for 119. Looking at the dish from the front you will have to mount the LNB on the right side of the first one.
