New to this
We just bought ourselves a viewsat extreme 2000 and have no idea what to do now. How do we get any channels on it and get it up and running. If anyone can help us with this, it would be much appreciated and where do we go to download all this for free?

read carefully and try to understand how to point your dish if you dont have one installed and pointed currently. i find that dish alignment is the most confusing to most people as it has to be rather precise.

here are the antenna settings that need to be correct before anything will work.
antenna settings
press menu- installation- pin code- antenna setup
sattelite echostar 7 (for example)
lnb power - on
lnb type - universal ( some may use standard)
lnb high - 11250
lnb low - 9750
tp freq - 12224
diseqc 1.0 - port (depends on where the cables are on the switch. use none if you only have one dish and lnb)
motor - off
legacy sw - none
