asking a question about a problem
If you ask a question about a problem, and a mod, helper or member replies back with a solution. Please take a few minutes to post back that it fixed your problem. This will help out in two ways. The person who is trying to help you knows you have it fixed. Plus it will benifit anyone in the future that is doing research on a problem, knowing that something fixed the problem.
It's not really that big of a deal, but I think it could benifit our community members alot when they are trying to solve a problem useing the search option

Re: asking a question about a problem
That's right,a lot of member comes here and ask for help and doesn't reply back if the problem was fixed or not.I am not saying all but some of them.

Re: asking a question about a problem
I'm not really concered about a thank you, but more of the point of knowing someone's problem is solved. Someone reading a post with the same problem may be more inclided to try it if they knew it worked for the last guy.

Welocome to the site! Could you please take a few minutes to read the rules of this site. What you did is called highjacking a post. It is considered rude. You need to go to the help section for your particular unit and start a new thread and ask your question.

Re: asking a question about a problem
That is a good observation Tbass and hopefully people will read this and apply this simple but very helpful idea.

Re: asking a question about a problem
I also wonder how many menbers are useing the chat room option. When ever I have some spare time I go on there to see if I can help out someone but no one is ever there asking anything. The chat room should be a great tool for live help if you have a problem.

Re: asking a question about a problem
It drives me nuts when someone asked the person in the thread to post their setting, and you never hear back from them again. Must mean 1 of 2 things. they are useing the stb for a door stop or they fixed the problem!!
