In case CS shows Scramble channel - ABA DSS

Folks my CS 5K showed scramble channel for all the channels.
I did 8282 and was trying to log into ABADSS to discuss my issue with me fellow forum members and get feedback from mods and site menders.
But I was surprised that in 10 minutes or so the channels came back.
So in case any one else face this problem, try 8282.

I am all on a sudden getting scamble channel on my CS 4000.
Nothing coming now..............any sugession

You can try 8282 and leave it for at least 10 minutes or so.
This will reset the keys.
Hopefully everything will be back.
If it does not come back after 10 or 12 minutes then try a hard boot.
Turn the power off from back and turn it on after 5 minutes or so.

just left it alone on my 5000 with 168 and it came back both dn & ****

8282 is just to change keys chances are they are changing so it might just need a little time to roll new ones. be patient and if it is taking long turn the box on/off using back switch.

mine was out for a few minutes too i turned the box off, and then back after that i left it alone and it came back in. i heard earlier from a friend that the ecm only effected 2 or 3 recievesr but made a lot of others freeze up. but they would come back in wierd ecm huh

Just another handy hint pressing the mute button then exit works just like 8282.

8282 is just the # needed tp access where you add the Keys yourself the some CS's have been running slow auto rolling keys what probally happened was the keys rolled when you went to the 8282 but this will not force it to roll

just turn it off from the back and turn it back on...all it is is new keys rolling
