Re: help with VS ULTRA
Do you have the latest fix from yesterday loaded? If not you might want to disconnect the sat line in cable, make sure you turn the power switch off from the back first.

Re: help with VS ULTRA
Previous file could have been a problem but the file you have now shouldn't be. If I remember correctly you got double channels for both auto scan and blind scan right?

Re: help with VS ULTRA
I'm thinking something could be wrong with the box maybe now. I have an ultra and an auto scan has never given me double channels and I have manually deleted 150 channels or so without any freeze ups. Maybe try doing only a few channels at a time and then save the changes and delete some more. You might want to bump this post tomorrow when more members are on and maybe someone else may of had the same problem as you and has a solution. I admit you have me stumped.

Re: help with VS ULTRA
Are you getting your file from a trusted source?Tested?
Load the factory bin to the unit and using a null modem cable and see if it's still freezing?

Re: help with VS ULTRA
My fathers ultra did that when I was first setting it up to. No matter what I did same problem so I factory default and reloaded files and rescanned. After that I never had that problem again.
