give me your opinions please
Hey everyone! Right now I'm testing a sonicview 4000 and an old viewsat 2000 plat. I'm looking into getting something new and different to play with this week. These are the two options I'm looking at.
1) looking at something with the iks feature, But I use a motor so I'd like to know what is the best unit to use with a motor. I still want to get real fta.
2) I have always wanted to test a dreambox unit. There seems to be not much support. It seems like an awsome unit, but what is the future of this on support?
Well I'm looking forwards in hearing everyones opions before I buy one.
Thanks!

Re: give me your opinions please
I think mandydish is right, the nfusion or neosat are pretty good on support. They use the iks system and i think thats the way forward.
Vs supporter

Re: give me your opinions please
IKS in my opinion will be the way the industry moves, I mean its simple evolution.
nFusion's advantage is that they were first to market with an IKS based offering and its been a solid performer. The hardware isn't quite as up to date as that of the Neosat iPro2000, and technically the Neosat is a better unit, however, they continue to perfect their IKS (which is getting better all the time).
Either one would make a good addition to your current line up and you could then relegate your existing boxes to secondary roles.

Do they both work well with a motorized set up. Reason I ask is because my sonicview works great with my motor but my old viewsat not so great.

Re: give me your opinions please
I don't use a motor myself so I have no added advice to offer.
Maybe scour through the nFusion or Neosat areas and see what you can find about each of the units ,motor performance.

Re: give me your opinions please
nFusion has a good motorized dish response and as everyone has mentioned, the IKS feature has set this receiver aside from others.

Re: give me your opinions please
new modern iks/pvr fta receiver = neosat ipro plus.
dreambox from what i understand are great.first thing you need
to understand is that they are linix based.from what i understand setting up and running is still fairly easy to do.(not for many still lol) then you can really get into them and customize.they really sound like something id love also.but iv heard you need to know what your doing.or prepare for reading the forums for hours.
