mine comes from a nickname at school, since we were 2 jimmy in the same classroom, the short one was called jimmito which in spanish means "little jimmy", and i was called jimmasso which means "big jimmy".

a french term with a vietnamese twist which literally translates into "very crazy". a very recognizable term to my fellow viet vets but a mystery to the majority of the younger generation. being forced to take a medical retirement from the USPS for going "postal" and later being deemed 100% disabled for PTSD from the VA, i thought it applicable!!

My guess for grasshopper's nick is probably from "Kung-Fu". "Young grasshopper"

At one point Master Po asks young Kwai Chang Kane what he hears ... there is a grasshopper at his feet ... so his teacher nicknames him 'grasshopper'.

ok great some very interesting and creative names out there.
mine comes from the early computer chat days on MIRC a group of us came out with names a freind who worked on DEC computers was named drdec a freind that fished was drfish be cause i was always formatting my computer i became drformat etc. the one was added because when yahoo chat started it wouldnt let u sign up with just the name.

Well mines like this. Before I retired, I was a industrial mechanic. I went through a lot of clothes with the machinery grease and nastiness. My wife used to hit the JC Penney sale racks to get me cheap working clothes. The men I worked with nicknamed me JC, and the 7257 comes from my birthday...
