Factory service
has anyone return a receiver back for service with 3rd party software?..
My receiver vs9000hd will not restart it has been on starting mode for two days. I had a viewsat plat working exellent for a few years then I decided to up grade to vs9000hd. I have nothing but problems with this new unit.... so maybe I should just cut my loss and buy another receiver?....

Re: Factory service
If you're going to return it, do a factory default and load factory file before doing so.

I had a different brand receiver do the same thing...Here's what I did.take and connect your PC or latop with the serial cord attached to your receiver, load it with the factory file and try to force it in by turning the rear power switch on and off till it starts to load the factory file....Good luck ...you may have to play around with it...but it worked for me,,,,

Try turning stb off from back switch. Insert your usb stick with only the latest bin file on it.
Now turn on back switch while keeping your finger on the front power button . It should read and do its thing. Before you do this, unplug the unit from the wall to drain the capacitors for a few minutes to also erase the ram. I think you should unplug from wall first just to repeat myself.
