Good luck Lady Vanita I doth think you have anything to worry about.Like the others have said just be yourself and you will be fine.After all they want to interview you , they obviously seen something in the resume they liked.

Hi everyone, I just got home. First of all, I sincerely thank all of you for your kind words, advise and travelling down this rocky road with me.

Ok... re: interview. I thought it went quite well, but it was quick so either Tammie (interviewer) was busy or they aren't interested. I was a few minutes early, so sat in the reception area and as luck would have it struck up a conversation with one of their patients who was relaxed and smiling during our conversation. (Good people skills right?) ... Tammie was talking to other people but I know that she could see my conversation with their patient. She approached, smiled at her patient, and we left, went into the lunch room. She has a mountain of resumes, I was able to tell her about the other clinic where I spent 11 years. She kept saying that I can see you would not have a problem with administration, telephone work or multi tasking. She gave me the hours, they are going to run two shifts. I told her I would prefer the early shift, then we got to money ...... how much are you looking for? I told her that I hadn't even thought about it .... I was unsure what receptionists are making these days .... I had applied because I have a passion for that type of work and at my age if you don't have a passion for something there really isn't much point in doing it. She seemed to like that answer. She pushed, so I said 12 - 15 per hour ... that I did not enjoy discussing money, but felt that my experience is definately worth something and therefore would prefer to stay away from the mininum.

The decision will be made in a week. Interviews, today, Friday and Mondy of next week and then they will make up their minds. I wish the interview had been next week. It is always easier to remember the last people you see than the ones last week.

So, fingers crossed for a week ........ and, again, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT. I kept seeing all your kind posts during the interview .... be yourself, and I was, eye contact, and I did ....... the only thing I didn't do (which was suggested) was show the legs and boobies ..... thank god I didn't, do you have any idea how old they are ... of course, it would have been easy to do, just pull up the skirt, show the knees and low and behold the boobies are just about there now. (LOL)

should of told her you want $2,000 a week to start, then there's room to negotiate. Also tell her you like to be home early enough to watch judge judy.

Sounds promising. Those are some incredible odds to beat, but from what you've said here it sounds like you definitely have the inside track going here. We will all be crossing our fingers with you. We look forward to good news to come.

very cool sound good. and i would say that yes tammie was busy. so thats no problem. i would also think that you are stretching it a bit. about the boobies and the leg thing. LOL good luck and i think you got the job!!! keep us updated.

LOL ... funny you should say that Gooly cause when she was pushing I joked and said .... ok how about $472.63 per hour or some strange number like that. We did both laughed and it was then that I told her I really didn't want to do a mininum salary due to my experience and because really feel that my knowlege and experience has to be worth more than than. She did agree.

here's a question, can you edit your own posts after they are posted. Sometimes I re read them and think great -------- typo or mis-spoke myself, but don't know how to edit.

Edit is a feature that you get when your post count hits a certain amount. I would think you have enough but I'm not sure. Any way it would look like this.
