UR Answers Plz?? Guess-Guess-Guess folks... - ABA DSS

NOW HERE IS THE QUESTION

A man wanted to enter an EXCLUSIVE club but did not know the PASSWORD that was required - so he patiently waited at the door and listened....

A club member knocked on the door and the doorman said "Twelve" the member answered "SIX" and was let in...

Second member came and knocked on the door and the doorman said "SIX".. the member answered "THREE" and was let in...

The man thought he had heard enough and walked up to the door- the doorman said "TEN"...and the man replied "FIVE"... BUT he was not let in??

What did he do wrong? What should have he said to get in..???

OK put your thinking caps on and get the answer??

The answer will be posted in the next couple of hours?

We cud post now but then that will defeat the purpose...

He should have said 3 because there are 3 letters in the word 10.

6 letters in 12

and 3 letters in 6.
