Little Red Square Syndrome

Can someone please teach me how to post a picture within a thread either from the internet or my computer without getting the little red square. I do know how to "browse" my computer or insert url from interent, but on preview ..... hello ........ "little red square".

I see so many pictures and videos that are posted and they all seem to be different sizes yet no matter what I try and do, I get stuck with little red squares.

The easiest for pics is google images. When you click on an image it is usually a link to somewhere. Don''t paste that pic, go to the link, and usually the picture is at the top of the page, click on the pic again and you'll get a larger pic. Copy/paste this version or save picture to your PC.

I've just given away my secret, but it was for a good cause. Must celebrate, PUFF PUFF. lol. Hope to see some pics soon.
Oh, if the pic is already in your PC, just zip it, and when you want to post it, use attachements(paperclip), after uploading the file, click on it, it will open in a new window, and you can copy/paste that into your post. Don't tell anyone I told you.

Thanks Zee .... you see ... here's the deal. I love photography so thought that I would start a Friday Night "Work of Art" for all the hard working men at ABA. But, every picture that I see that I really like I can't post the darn thing. Really annoying. Is it possible that the pics are copyrighted and if so, can I get around that. I will read Zee's note again and again, but, I think that is what I have been doing.

I guess that next question is: Would you gentlemen like me to continue trying ?????

Ok... when I get the link and paste it into the url in the attachment area and hit upload I keep getting invalid file. So... I guess I am still confused right ?
