Leaving receiver on
Is it hard on them. I am only running the one receiver and am running a cable from living room to bedroom so I can watch in there too. Usually, turn bedroom tv off, and don't go to living room to turn the receiver off. Will this practice wear it out?

Re: Leaving receiver on
just as long as the receiver is in a place to keep it from getting to hot.it's just like a little computer and who knows how many of those are left on 24/7 for years. a electronics worst enemy is heat

Re: Leaving receiver on
I never turn mine off unless I do a hard reboot and mine seems to be doing well. My personal opinion is that you use more internal parts turning it on and off so I choose to leave mine on.

Re: Leaving receiver on
thanks arbor ... my panny was left on for years ... lord knows if it was running I didn't want to mess it up ......... but now we are talking about my new baby. When I downloaded this morning she was abit warm, cooled off quickly, but it did make me wonder. I ordered the remote control extenders that you suggested, but coming from the states it will take awhile.
(It's cold getting out of a warm bed to run down the hall ......... burr !!!!!! and that only works if I actually wake up)

Re: Leaving receiver on
I always recommend to keep the unit ON at all times. (this helps keep the keys current)
But I have never had a problem with heat...but if heat is an issue...a little fan will help.
You can find a cheap little fan made for PC's that runs on 115volts at ebay...do a search.
See ya this weekend babe, in the mature section. lol

Re: Leaving receiver on
dont worry about it. I leave mine on 24-7 so it will autoroll and it works fine. maybe unplug for lightning or something but I suggest "on".
