Gas Theft
Recently I have been victim to allot of theft. So today I invested in an outdoor wi-fi camera.
Im gonna catch this S.O.B....
Anyways the camera itself is pretty cool with a decent pic and good range.
The price is good for the security you get, especially with fuel prices these days....
So suck on that mr. gas thief man.

Re: Gas Theft
I had an issue with people stealing gas from trucks parked outside our office...Being the youngest of the family business i was tasked with the job of video camera's and that...anyways...much easier for myself to get two big dogs that can freely go inside and out. No problems at all now. As long as the camera has night vision and you have a nice clear shot, some of them you can get for cheap at Home Depot.

Re: Gas Theft
I'm in agreement with con. I have a Red nose pit, she doesn't like company at night. She doesn't say much till she's right at you. Luckily she hasn't caught anybody yet. Not to big at 45 pounds, but the bite is awsome...

Re: Gas Theft
I got two dogs from a shelter, just very happy go lucky Mastiffs...not violent or aggressive...they stay in a heated oversized dog playground and come home with me on weekends...People are always working 24 hours.

Re: Gas Theft
To add to the story, the midnight shift at the factory beside mine has a huge problem with gas being stolen, and the gas bars are starting to go to pay before you pump due to all the drive offs. Just like when the raise the price of smokes, the theft rate goes up with it.

Re: Gas Theft
Due to the area the camera best suits my needs right now, but yup, she is full color w/night vision. Great view so we will see very soon. They seem to come the week before most peoples pay day and the eve of payday. Its tough because it seems like they come between 3:00 & 4:00 am.....
Now I dont need to lose anymore sleep.

I have had a camara up for about 5 years at my home after being broke onto. You can hook up vcr and record while your not at home. Also if you put one at the driveway you can see who is come to see you and if you don.t want to anwser the door you don't have too because you know who it is!

Re: Gas Theft
Seems funny that just a few years ago the USA was a world leader in manufacturing and exports and we were driving vehicles with big block engines getting less than 10mpg and the Chinese were riding bicycles. Looks like now we may be the world leader on imported goods with limited manufacturing while the Chinese have become a world leader in exports. Since they are using more and more petroleum, they are driving up the oil prices daily. Looks like they get to drive the suv's now while we are all only going to be able to afford to ride bikes and watch tv. Ironic, isn't it.

Re: Gas Theft
yea but its kind of tough to make payments on an suv when you are only getting 10 cents an hour ,but i guess if you are working 16 hours a day, and no talking aloud ,if you are caught talking you get docked one days wages ,and you sleep in a housing complex on the factory property you could save some money .watched a documentary on this they were making products for wallmart, absolutly disgusting the way these factory workers are treated..but they do get to go home on sundays

The truck i use for riding around the farm and different job sites is a 95 chevy blaer full size suv, the truck is a beast. You can watch the little stick slowly go down when you get on the highway.
Gas goes into this truck laughing.

Re: Gas Theft
It's only a matter of time when we'll see people shot and killed over a bit of gas.

Walmart's evolution has had a horrible impact on the world. Did you know that,
Walmart is the first corporation in history to set the manufacturers prices. They tell the manufacturer what they want, when they want it, and how much they will pay. In turn forcing company's to move the manufacturing of goods overseas to a cheaper labor and materials market. (If they want to be on a Walmart shelf, they will conform)
Now kids toys are full of lead again because safety regulations either are not in place or not followed by international manufacturers. Even household names like Mattel are forced to recall high end toys due to safety issues like lead paint.
Cheap is cheap..... So I say F@$K you Walmart, for the most part your cheap chit sucks, and you force people into harsh conditions by supporting a harsh working environment.
I drive a '67 chev C-20 , '78 chev 1/2 tone, and the wife has her car. To get back on the fuel thing. So someone stealing my gas infuriates me. I need all three vehicles daily for work.
Each truck is a dual tank the 67 holds about $80 per tank and the 78 only hold around $97 per tank. A locking gas cap has not been a deterrent so hopefully they come back and smile for the camera.

Lets not stray from the topic...especially with how unethical the Walton's are. Every family member is worth over 15 billion...wonder why.

Re: Gas Theft
I would like to add, Here in sunny Calif. The thiefs are punching holes in the bottom of the fuel tanks, and this is very coslty having to replace the tank. Is there any relief in site? I think we should of let the oil wells burn during Desert Storm.

Desperate times call for desperate measures..... Times are not that tough right now though. ( Its not like the thirties ) But we are all affected in some way. Some more than others.

Re: Gas Theft
We're heading to an era that will be worse than the 30's but we wont have manufacturing as a savior. It's gonna be rough.
