Proxy Server Problem
I use a proxy called anonymiser and it screws up my computer in the way it runs. problem is when I go into my control panel to uninstall it, it starts to reinstall when I click uninstall. can anybody shed light on this?

Re: Proxy Server Problem
maybe if you click install it will uninstall... or download a virus to attack it, yeah thats the best idea!!

Re: Proxy Server Problem
Try doing a manual uninstall. Do a search for anonymiser and locate the exe or install file and then try to uninstall software.

Re: Proxy Server Problem
It hasn't worked yet, this is one of those things where I can't remember how to do it to tell someone but hands on I could probably make it work.

Re: Proxy Server Problem
This is the exact reason i always warn members on this site to stay away from proxy servers. You have to get a reputable company to insure that your privacy is protected, and that there is nothing else going on, like spyware or malware.

Re: Proxy Server Problem
restart your computer and when it is still restarting hit f5 over and over you will get a menu go to safe mode then click administrator then yes when it starts up go to my computer then local disk c:/ then programs then scroll down until you find the proxy program and fully delete it ..
once that is done you can restart the computer go to add and remove and remove it from there ..
the reason you do it this way is that when you are in safe mode the program is not running and you can remove it .. when you are in normally you can't because it is running .. later

Re: Proxy Server Problem
Great TC, I should have thought about that. When your computer comes on start tapping f5 until the diagnostic screen appears, then choose safe mode. While in safe mode change anything else you need to change, you can even return your PC to another place in time.
WoW, super TC, you the man

Re: Proxy Server Problem
OK, I'm back, dogs are all fed and content. thanks for the response, I'll try these options and get back to you. I can only hope this doesn't take the same route as my loader problem, I think that thread went on for days.

thanks,SoDarkTheCon, I have successfully uninstalled the program, although I'll have to admit I ended up taking the advice to download innovatools uninstall. Program worked great and I'm going to buy it after trial expires.
