Viewstat Ultra Problem

Hello everyone,

I am new to your site. I am having a problem with my viewstat ultra and was wondering if anyone could provide some information for me. I was in the process of loading the latest bin files and the receiver went to reboot and now 99.99. is stuck on the display. I tried powering it off and unplugging it but to no avail. Does anyone know what I might be able to do to jump start my receiver again.

Try to load the factory file, but you will need to use the Loader2 to load the file with your Null Modem cable and your computer.
There is a how to in the Viewsat section that will tell you how to do it, and there is also a video that show's you how.

Can this be done with the USB stick? If not will a regular serial cable that fits onto the reciever work? Is there a link to watch the video?

If you go to the thread "view sat ultra dead "and read what tomcat posted it will give you all the necessary steps to take.

You can now rename any .pgm file(factory file or 3rd party bin) to PFTAUSWR.PGM copy to usb stick, insert into a powered off receiver, then power back up and that file will load automatically.
