The CHIT hit the CHAT today!!!- FTASAT4LESS problem

Yeah, today I ordered an Ultra Lite from the site's Southcoast shop. Ordered this morning , they had the tracking number posted in my email an hour later!!!! I am impressed!

Now on the other hand, those @#$%^& over at FTASAT4LESS turned me OFF!!!! I ordered a SV4K form them on the 5th. I have sent them emails.....ZILTCH!! They have no telephone number listed in their web page so I cannot call them. No tracking number, the thing should have arrived last week. Yup, they got paid via PayPal so today after no response from them, I put a complaint into PayPal. Will I get either my $$$ back or a receiver??? Who knows!

Important that I share this bad experience with others. I thought with the purchase clearly described in the order along with the shipping fee and unit cost I shouldbe alright. Live and learn.

I will post later how this transpires but this I do know. I have until the 9th of July to either have this resolved or escalating this to a claim. If I do not hear from the #@%^&$* by next Wednesday, I intend to escalate the issue to claiim status.

Yes, I hope it gets resolved. But PayPal offers no guarantee for money back. Their rules are that if it elevates to a claim, they will return your money IF THEY ARE ABLE TO COLLECT IT FROM THE SELLER. OK, now with that in mind, one would think any seller using PayPal would not want to poop into PayPal's pipe. Now if they are going out of business, which I doubt then they would not care about PayPal or anybody else.

I've been reading up on these guys and I'm sorry to say but it doesn't look good. Try to cancel paypal right away. Check you pm for a phone #. I'm not sure if it will work though.

Bob-- I did try your suggestions but..... Think they are one step ahead of everybody.

THIS IS A SUGGESTION FOR THE MODERATORS---

We could use a sticky, placed where one would have to trip over it before moving forward for known SCAMMERS. Sure, everybody is not a scammer but there are enough out there to make a sticky. My loss if it turns out that way is not hte end of life. Lets see what happens although I have little hope.

I also suggest that those who order DO SO WITH A CC AND NOT PAYPAL. PayPal will only return money IF they are able to COLLECT money. Nothing leaves their pockets.

I have purchased from them in Las Vegas. If you check out the "About Us" tab, they disclose a $39.95 shipping/handling on all items. Otherwise they won't reveal the charge until you've paid for it, and you can't back out.

Immediately after I booked an order with them, I changed my mind and called them (no answer), e-mailed them several times, and called them again, and again (no answer). It took them 2 days to get the order out, so no excuse. I don't like the way they do business and will never buy from them again!

Thats right. If you read the replies in that thread most said their orders were filled. Some minor complaining about unseen cost. They were not bashful stating the higher shipping cost. Shipping cost? I didn't mind the higher cost as long as it was posted up front which was. I was billed for the amount advertised for the receiver plus the high shipping fee. But the total was still less than I saw offered elsewhere. A company needs to have a profit to survive, I had no problem with them making money on the shipping.

What I have a problem with is I DOUBT THAT ANYTHING WILL BE SHIPPED AT ALL.

If the Merchant has a Paypal button on their site, they also have a Merchant account with them, can't happen any other way. Paypal has more power over the Merchant than you think. If you want their button on your site you have to deliver. Paypal can and will take it from the Merchant if there is no reply, and or goods are still not delivered.
The first thing I do when I shop on a Site is to go to their Contact Us link and see how easy it is to get a hold of them. If all there is is an e-mail address, F%ck it. No address/phone number(working, try it) no business from me.
Hope everything works out, I know it's the sh!ts to follow the Paypal Complaint Process but they give both sides time to respond on different levels.
Good Luck. Let us know what happens.

I got a full refund from Paypal after 3 months. Here's the Kicker, the CD arrived 2 weeks later, had been in the mail for 3 1/2 months, no tracking number (us postal service was used). But in good faith I paid the merchant.

Zeke-- Yes he does have the PayPal logo, I will just have to wait and see what happens. In any case it was my own dumb fault trying to do business with that vendor. Folks hinted there could be problems, at that point I should have done a Google on them.

Hey, as I said, got nobody to blame here but that guy Self and I need a good long talk with Self to make sure the lesson was learned. I at least feel confident that the VS Lite I ordered from South Coast FTA will arrive next week. Cheers and keep the faith--

I'd put money on it that Paypal will refund you in full if you don't get your unit. Just might take a while. Be persistant in your responses back to Paypal. Keep an eye on your e-mail for their response, usually with a link to the merchants answer. If their answer makes no sense to you(ie: "tracking number provided to customer.") Now if that's the case, and the numbers turns out, not traceable by the shipper, reply back to paypal using the appropriate links stating exactly that and give paypal the useless tracking number.
