Canada post rant !! - ABA DSS

I don`t know if any of you other guys or girls had any problem with them but.... I ordered another stb a week ago and the supplier sent it off the next day. One day later(Tuesday) Canada post said it was on the way along with tracking number.

Long story short they tried delivery yesterday when i was at work but a card on my door said i could pick it up the next day(today) at an post office outlet 2 blocks away.

When i contacted them they did not have it nor could they tell me where it was. They said the post office main number was closed because its Saturday... Maybe check back Monday.

Well i`m done my rant but pretty pissed off.

Useless outdated system i guess.

Thx 4d share"beef"..feel sorry 4u BUT be assured ur NOT alone there r folks with similar experiences..count me in..

Sent a pkg to Toronto..with all trackings n everything else..NEVER MADE it there - on record - eventually it was traced to a pick up location - on contact they CUS-NOT find on their premises - a week later after talking(finally got a live contact on line) the SAME pick up Agency - tracked d pkg at their OWN place..explanation - ERROR IN LOCATING d first time..??

Canada Post eventually refunded d cost n apologised as d system failure was acknowledged..

BTW - if u missed connecting d first delivery attempt d pkg id not available at d recommended location until next 24 hrs n is held for three dayz or so..

Anywayz..Given d excitment building to set ur NEW TOY..i can relate 2ur disappointment..like they say..hang in there Bro..all gud things take time..i guess....happy entertainning soooooon..keep us posted....

Your right buddy......We are like kids in a candy store with our toys and it would have been nice to enjoy the candy i paid for through out the weekend.

This rant though is is not just from one stb ordered, similar problems before.

Just like everything else these days i guess.....Its not there fault right ?

Guess NOT they find wayz to explain their shortcomings - or - drawbacks..
It seems like no win situation - alwayz - BUT like they say there is light at the end of the tunnel..enjoy as "U" wait the prized possession currently hopefully in safe custody of Canada Post..take care BUD..gud day everyday...

Always send it insured cost 2 bucks for $200 coverage. If you have a tracking number and it's lost, make a claim, at least you get soem sort of compensation.
A little compensation with some aggra is better than no comp with some aggra. That's too bad, I order alot from the net and CP has always come thru so far. As has UPS and Puro. Good luck Beef

If memory serves well there is an automatic insurance on such articles sent thru the Canada Post - express / registered mail for n up to $100 unless specified..however as u indicated sure can't go wrong with additional insurance to add for nominal cost..thx 4d share ZAKE......

Hey Beef - i'm missing or what - just curious which stb did u order - btw..gud luk tho...bro....

Good eye buddy....No i did not mention the stb. I wanted to do a little testing first.

I guess the testing will come next week.

Feel for you Buddy, but my rural carrier and me have great relationship. I told him if he ever got a package that wouldn't go in the mail box, just open my shop and put it in there. Never fails, he puts packages in shop and leaves me a note in mailbox that he put it in the shop. This is great thing about living in the rural area. Just wanted to make you feel a little jealous...LOL

Well you got me jealous buddy. Can you send that guy to manage this Canada post system.lol

Its funny you say that though.....I used to get little gifts, we will call it in my posision at work and i would have cartens of smokes delevred and the post office had no problem just leaving the package outside my apartment door where anyone could just walk by and grab it.

What a goofy system.

Thanks peggy....Good thing i`m not a postal worker with a grudge.lol

That would not help going postal......No stb and shot, not a good idea.
