Dolly just doesn't seem to want to come ashore.

She has slowed down a bit and we haven't gotten the rediculous rain amounts that were predicted but there's still time.

Bad part about it is she just might have moved to where now I might be getting the eye passing directly through our neck of the woods. Hope she keeps moving up so we get the south side instead of the direct hit.

Oh well, my date is playing hard to get now so I'll just have to wait and see what happens. Hopefully, she decides not to come at all.

PS. Satellite is still going strong at this point.

Glad to hear that. Hope she never shows up!!

My vacation to South Padre Island years ago was cut short because of the same thing. It was funny, we knew nothing about the storm (really on vacation..lol) and the hotel called our room to upgrade us, we were soooo happy and then we found out we were the only ones left there!!! Needless to say, we checked out and caught the last plane that was able to fly out of there!!

Those bastages would do that instead of offering a "RAIN" CHECK.

Anyhow, there are still people on SPI right now and have been there since lastnight if not before that. CRAZY if you ask me but oh well.

Stay up baby boy (dish), and nail everything else down, I hear from cnn Dolly is going to be a mean dancer. I might even take mine (dish) down after marking pole, just to make sure she doesn't rip me off and cause any more financial problems i.e. roof repairs, keep us posted.

just saw jim cantore talking from spi his dish down dolly having winds of 100 mph cat 2 hurricane

said roofs were flying lots of debris have freinds that live there and they evac for every huricane only smart move.

I'm still OK...

Just tired from staying up most of the night.

Sat still going. Had a slight hiccup but I think it was the power going down from the local station.

I'll keep you updated as long as I have telephone(ISP) service.

Getting windier and windier....stronger.

Still not getting any real heavy rain and hopefully it stays that way.

My favorite fishing spot(Portmansfield) looks like it will get the brunt of it.

Maybe some good fishing after Dolly packs her bags and leaves us.
