I survived Dolly! - ABA DSS

Took the brunt of her forces to start, poked her in the eye as she passed through and kicked her in the rear as she passed by.

That was one heckuva a date.....she gave us a wild ride. Suffered very minor damage to my home.....very minor. Had a small tree uprooted and some branches broken off my bigger trees and the water was 2-3 inches from entering my home and we just got our power off a little while ago after it going down about 2pm CST yesterday.

Got home about 20 minutes ago from visiting a friend and came back to our house and as we were driving into town noticed some lights. They had tols us we could be without power for 3-5 days. Whew....glad that predition didn't come true.

Anyhow, thanks to all of you that had us in your prayers.

Some of us weren't so lucky as far as damage and/or flooding goes.

I've been through a few of these but this was the weirdest of them all. They eye actually passed right through our town but luckily she was downgraded to a TS at that time.

Oh well, just wanted to let you all know I'm alive and kicking and Special Thanks got out to Peggy! Thanks for thinking about us.

Good to know you and and everyone on the south coast came through unscathed,

man i can tell you in 2004 Hurricane Ivan is something we locals(in the caribbean )are still talking about.180 mph winds for 72 hours.No lights for two months

Almost back to normal.

Some people still without electricity, still some flooding but almost back to normal for the most part.
