There have been various discussions on which receiver people like best. There is a section in the "newbie" forum area that has lots of good information for you to read (Receiver Review). After reading all the comments there, you should be able to decide which one will best suit your needs for testing.
Just like anything else, lots of different opinions!! Good luck.

Re: Thinking about getting another receiver
I've had nothing but great results with Captive Works.
So much so that I ordered myself the CW800s.
I've been testing the CW600s premium and the CW700s.
My next box will be one with the best HD quality....CW makes the CW3000s but I really haven't heard much about it and it's qualities vs downfalls.
Thanks to the CW team on this site, they get the new files out pretty quick so that's another plus for the CW's.

Re: Thinking about getting another receiver
well, some new receivers on the market over the past few months.
the VS ultra light is incredable at 119.00 bucks and the SV 360 elite is a excellent stb at only 180 bucks, i say only because it has a duel tunner pvr fuction.
i would go with the sonicview if your interested in recoerding but if you just want to watch then the VS ultra light is the best buy.

Re: Thinking about getting another receiver
The top 3 receivers are likely Viewsat, Sonicview and Captive works at the moment and basically you can't go wrong with any one of these as they have great support.
Check here for some receiver reviews :

My choices that my Coolsat 5000 last week for under $130 in my area were:
1. Sonicview 360 Premier $120
2. Captive Works 700 $100 or 800 $120
3. Viewsat Ultra $120
4. CNX mini $100
I went with Sonicview!

All the boxes you listed are great, but at that price...the sonicview was by far the best choice. Hope you enjoy.
