New Ultra - Low signal
Finally got my Ultra today as dealer sold out during the weekend. I'm having a small problem. The signal strength on my coolsat is much higher than the ultra using the same coaxial cable. The CS gets 90+ on Echo 110 while the Ultra gets lows 60. On Echo 119 however I have a high signal strength on both the CS and VS Ultra. I'm using a Superdish with a dp34. With my coolsat these were my settings (which are working):
110 Echostar 8,10
LNB type: ocs-dp
22khz: off
diseqc switch 1.0
committed 3
legacy sw: off

Re: New Ultra - Low signal
same results. The trasnponder (TP Frequency) on the Ultra menu shouldn't matter right?

Re: New Ultra - Low signal
Same result using Standard as LNB type.
The Ultra is only getting 60 for quality and 73 at strength.
I used the settings as they are, with the low signal, and seem to be getting good reception. However, I'm missing alot of channels. Most of the PPV, pron, some basic cable (ie USA channel).
I just did an autoscan on the ULTRA, which is what I used on my CS. Should I be doing something else first?

No just load latest bin! You need to get your S up for better Q by moving your dish just a little bit and then rescan if your still missing channels. Good luck.

Yah that looks like the case. I've noticed that some to the TP on the same sat have different strengths. In 119 for example 12224 has near 100 while 12239 is at only 80. Still watchable but lower. Should I check for all TPs as well when I'm readjusting the dish?

Re: New Ultra - Low signal
Well I finally fixed it. A post on another forum suggested changing the LNB Freq to 11242 and it worked. Wished I would have read that before I spent 3 hours on the roof but what ever works

Re: New Ultra - Low signal
I initially had it at 11250 because it what I used for the CS. Wouldn't have that would mattered as I'm using the same Dish and LNB.
