just registered...help

just registered and the first thing i try to do..at the request of the site (i know its not necessary)..is to "post" in general chat..and the link does not "work"..it looks like a great site..but before i "contribute"..i would like to think that when i "click" somewhere...it takes me to where i want/need to go...is it just me that had that problem? i did activate from email..and i tried it several times...

switch or lnb ALWAYS REMEMBER to turn the receiver off using the switch on back of the receiver.
you could burn up your switch or mess up your settings if you dont.
* post your type of receiver, your antenna settings, and explain your problem well to receive the best help.
* you need to upgrade your membership to access the files section on this site. this can be done by
clicking upgrade membership at the top of the page. it is free to join the site, ask questions and receive help.
you can upgrade at any time.
* hijacking threads is confusing and not wanted here at abadss. see the site rules to understand
better about hijacking threads. to avoid this start your own thread in the proper forum

* this is an informative and friendly site devoted to the fta hobby. the members
and moderators will be glad to help in any way they can.

OK..thanks for info...my posts seem to be working..so i guess all is good. I do have an important question (for me at least)...i just contributed also. I am extremely interested in becoming a "tester"? or somehow "employed" by? is that at all possible? I know of those that are...and i would love to become part of that..im retired and have the time..and i consider myself pretty schooled on PC's..are there any opportunties? if there is..and i should pose this question in a different forum..could someone direct me there? i guess if i was as savvy as i think..i would know! thanks

do you have a fta receiver?
if not that would be your first step, head on over to the receiver reviews section and see what type of receiver you are interested in.

yes i do..i have been "doing this" for quite some time..but had no idea what it took..or if i could indeed do what i am asking. it was not until i realized a friend was doing it..that i became interested. however i will start there..thank you

is there a particular forum I should pose this question in? that is kinda my dilemma..which forum will the correct "person/s" that could assist..see it?

Becoming a BIN tester before public release, would normally mean your in the loop with the people that matter and are trusted by them. That loop is somewhere but who and where I dont know.

If you run an FTA w/a third party BIN then you are considered a "tester" but I assume you are looking to get the BIN before it is released.

If your buddy is a tester of that sort I would try to get him to get you in. Otherwise hang out, help out, and get to know some people that might give you the opportunity your looking for.
