Anyone tried PediPaws ??
I wish I had 20.00 to blow if these don't work, but, alas, I don't. Has anyone tried it? My dogs claws are so black, I won't cut them in case I miss. If someone is going to hurt him, it isn't going to be me. But, I saw this advertised and thought that it might be wonderful - wonderful if it works.
Anyone tired? Thanks everyone.

Re: Anyone tried PediPaws ??
RB, I would believe me, but, he was abused and quite sensitive when it comes to his claws. I think that they use to squeeze his paws and ears till he cried amongst other things. It has taken me four years to be able to massage his pads or touch his paws without him going into the fetile position. So, clipping for me is out, he will pull back and I am really scared of missing. Pain now, would undo all the time I have put into getting rid of some of his demons.
It does look like a dremel. I have a small power drill and some dremel type bits, might just work and I would save the 20.00 as well !! Thank God. I'll let you know ... drill is on the power charger.
He is going to love me for this one, but, at least now, he trusts me.

Re: Anyone tried PediPaws ??
they do look good ,it would be nice to get some real feedback.i have a dog thats not to hard to clip but i also have monitor lizards that i find tricky to cut and if they work it would make things a little easier and safer for me.

Re: Anyone tried PediPaws ??
Used mine for the first time and was pleased,we have Pom's and I think it would be better on larger dogs.It is quiet and our dogs just sat on my lap so I could trim them, got our's at Walgreens in Texas,it is a lot easier than clippers,I will try mine with the guard off for small dog's

I guess the only downfall to the grinder could be that it might produce a bit of heat to the nail area and the problem of grinding too much off the nail and grinding into the quick area..

Thanks Biker ... nice to know they work. If you don't mind me asking, how much were they at Walgreen's. Just curious, cause living in Canada, with the S&H they do become a bit pricey. I guess it takes batteries too, right?

Re: Anyone tried PediPaws ??
Oh, Lady V, you're so good! Here's my research: it is a Dremel, you can buy just the cap for 19.95, also, re: the heat, it's only supposed to be used for a 3-4 second interval, then wait a few seconds, etc. Also, to help acclimate the dog to the noise=when playing, just turn the thing on, let it run-like a couple of times, then, well the website tells about this =one works up to the "process"! i'm going to Walgreen's in about 45 minutes & i'll let you know, i'd be happy to save you money, send one if necessary, i know 4 or 5 dogs that need it, I can't stand seeing them deal w/ this problem anymore & their owners already know how upset i am--so I'll let you know-Peace

Thatcher .... I am so sorry I didn't mean it to sound that way (get one and send it - unbelievably kind of you), what I meant was ... it looks like a really cool item and it might help my little man out - he wasn't too impressed with the power drill !!! It is just that sometimes, items like this look great, but don't work worth a darn. With so many "family" members here, I wondered if anyone else had tried them before I go through the "order from Canada" process. Hoping you understand.

Re: Anyone tried PediPaws ??
Lady V, I didn't think anything-(ha, that sounds funny just looking at that phrase, and for me-lol). Ok, back to subject-check out "Peticure" Peticure.com | The Official Site - pamper your pet with a peticure!. I am leaning towards this one...later, T

Did you see the post ......... "For Thatcher" (it is in general discussion). I thought I would share some pictures of my "husband" with you ... and of course, everyone else.
