thanks to jvvh for all he does
i would like to thanks jvvh and the other coders for all the work he does to keep this hobby and some of the old recievrs and code going here is just a small talk that he has from what he has been doing .. c/p
he is a true coder/tester
Experimental modded bin for coolsat5000 1.78
Trying to do something like I did with the coosat4000 1.78 bin, but the ARM code is much harder to work with and the tools not as familiar.
I've written some simple source code and compiled it with WinARM using Thumb mode--I've included the source I used, but I'm not talking much about the compile process till I have it a little more under control.
The code will let you dump flash 0x8000 bytes at a time, so you can get a full dump of the flash eventually by sending "a5 02 00 30 6e" for each 0x8000 bytes and capture the whole thing under RealTerm.
I also have the serial EEPROM copied into RAM as part of the serial in routine, and one of the cmds should send it out the serial port. Another cmd dumps the keys stored in RAM (that were in the serial EEPROM at one time).
Anyway look at the source code for other current cmds. This is a work in progress, and with any luck I'll get better routines in the source as I work on it.
The mods to the bin code are actually small--three mods to make the checksum tests pass, a couple mods to mpg image pointer and size to let me take over about 32K bytes of flash where there was an image. Then a couple mods to the serial input routine to let me call my code up in that image space.
Update to the above. I've gotten better with source code and compile under WinARM. Instead of dumping the serial EEPROM as part of the start of loader code, I now have it done as a manual send of a cmd, the old command to dump that RAM image of that chip is the same--so to get the output of serial E2P you need to send two sequential cmds with RealTerm.
I've implimented toggle of cmd04 and cmd07 for real this time, send the cmd to toggle one of them on and you will get those packets--just as in the mods to the cs4k's 1.78 bin, the point at which I could do this easily was at the "move" and for the cmd07's this is after the header morph.
Still looking for the location to exploit to save CWs sent to the box, I'm close on that but not there yet.
In the file are a couple of cmd sequences for the toggles. I've also put in a few notes on how I'm compiling the code.
now this guy and otherss open coders are doing this because they like the challenge ..
and all the 2500 and 1500 guys say thats these are the guys keeping you relics going with this kid of work
Thanks guys
