New To FTA....
Whats up everyone? I just ordered my FTA reciever (cw800s pvr), My reciever is due to arrive wednesday, I can't wait. . I have a old direct TV dish on the roof right now that I'm planning on using with the new receiver, it looks like it has a single LNB on it. do I need to reposition the dish or is it already in the right sat? I have been reading for a few weeks now. In some other site they say its possible is that true? what do I need to do to get going as smooth as possible?

If the dish was used for directtv, you will have to repoint. With only 1 lnb you can either point to 119, or 110. If you strap on another lnb to the existing 1 you can pick up both sats. If you only use the 1, then think about what you want, 119 has channels like history, and scifi where 110 has a lot of ppv. When you hook up your 800, and go to antenna setup, it will tell you if your on a dishnetwork sat. Good luck and have fun.

hello, welcome to abadss, the best fta site on the net!!
this is much more than just a place to get files. it is a community with dedicated members,
forums for just about anything, social groups, your own profile page, access to a weekly poker game,
and too much more to list.
make ABADSS your first stop for everything fta and you will be rewarded with much more.
reading is the best way to learn, use the search option to find posts related to your specific problem.
if you still need help post a question in the proper forum.
helpful hints:
* read and understand the site rules to guide you through our many forums.
* hard reboot with the switch on back of your receiver solves many minor issues.
* before you unplug your receiver, or disconnect any connection including the
switch or lnb ALWAYS REMEMBER to turn the receiver off using the switch on back of the receiver.
you could burn up your switch or mess up your settings if you dont.
* post your type of receiver, your antenna settings, and explain your problem well to receive the best help.
* you need to upgrade your membership to access the files section on this site. this can be done by
clicking upgrade membership at the top of the page. it is free to join the site, ask questions and receive help.
you can upgrade at any time.
* hijacking threads is confusing and not wanted here at abadss. see the site rules to understand
better about hijacking threads. to avoid this start your own thread in the proper forum
if you have any questions.
* this is an informative and friendly site devoted to the fta hobby. the members
and moderators will be glad to help in any way they can.
enjoy the forums and come back often!
