new to this
Hello all just got a coolsat 6100 from the Daughterso I'll be asking lots of questions till i figure it out. This seems like the best site on the net from the little I surfed.

Hello MTF123, welcome to ABA! This is a great place to learn all about your new hobby! There is a help page for your Coolsat, go to the drop down box in the upper left hand corner (says SonicView) type in CoolSat and click "go". Be sure to read the "sticky" files in the CS6100 "help section" you can post any questions you have in that area also....just never post in the "download section". In order to download the files, you'll need to upgrade your membership, but in the meantime, you can read and get some help setting up your receiver. Good luck and happy testing!! this is much more than just a place to get files. it is a community with dedicated members,
forums for just about anything, social groups, your own profile page, access to a weekly poker game,
and too much more to list.
make ABADSS your first stop for everything fta and you will be rewarded with much more.
reading is the best way to learn, use the search option to find posts related to your specific problem.
if you still need help post a question in the proper forum.
helpful hints:
* read and understand the site rules to guide you through our many forums.
* hard reboot with the switch on back of your receiver solves many minor issues.
* before you unplug your receiver, or disconnect any connection including the
switch or lnb ALWAYS REMEMBER to turn the receiver off using the switch on back of the receiver.
you could burn up your switch or mess up your settings if you dont.
* post your type of receiver, your antenna settings, and explain your problem well to receive the best help.
* you need to upgrade your membership to access the files section on this site. this can be done by
clicking upgrade membership at the top of the page. it is free to join the site, ask questions and receive help.
you can upgrade at any time.
* hijacking threads is confusing and not wanted here at abadss. see the site rules to understand
better about hijacking threads. to avoid this start your own thread in the proper forum
if you have any questions.
* this is an informative and friendly site devoted to the fta hobby. the members
and moderators will be glad to help in any way they can.
