set up the bird that's closest to your true south, use USALS and the rest should follow.

Re: yyeeehaa put up my motor last night
well here is my first problem LOL the dish i have is a generic one with the magic bar well it is too close to the motor so when i try and get the proper elevation it hits the motor ..
but the nice thing is this the satellite store here where i live has a new 36 in made for the hh90 so i called the lady that owns it and get this she is going to drop it off tobight .. for free LOL .. i gues all the buisness i gave them over the years has paid off LOL so i have to start from scratch again when it gets here after 7pm .. cst

Re: yyeeehaa put up my motor last night
Looks like lots of fun. (all but the cold part)
I haven't graduated to motor setup yet...
Maybe you can setup a kerosene heater beside the dish for a while? lol

Re: yyeeehaa put up my motor last night
Easiest way to find True South to aim your motorized dish:
Split the difference between the time of Sunrise and Sunset, that is when the Sun is at the highest point in the sky, True South.
Makes it 100x easier.
Example:
Sunrise is at 7:00 AM
Sunset is at 5:30 PM
10 Hours, 30 Minutes between the Sun rises and when the Sun sets.
Half of that is 5 Hours, 15 Minutes.
Add that to the time the Sun rises, which would be 7:00 AM, + 5 Hours and 15 Minutes = 12:15 PM
Aim your Dish and Motor assembly at the Sun at that time. Tweak your Dish elevation as needed and you're set.
