I just got my new Plasma! Yay!
Panasonic TH-42PX80. 720p Plasma for $500 after rebate. I'm so happy this year's BF didn't turn out to be a complete waste of time.
Had to do tons of research and it finally came down to this one for best value. I hope my SD dish will look nice on it.
Since I'm now official broke for a while, I don't think I'll be getting HD receivers anytime soon. But it's the first step towards HD TV right?  DishNetwork's HD lineup sucks though. I only see 3-4 channels that I'd really watch (espn1/2, scifi). And they want to charge me $5 for the local channels I can get OTA

Great scoop. Panasonic is the #1 maker of plasma tv. My problem with my panasonic 50" is that I have to remember to go back to work. Great tv without a doubt. I also picked up a Panasonic hdc-sd100pc hd palmcorder that syncs perfectly with that tv. My hd movies on that tv are awesome. For the people who have not yet taken that step to hdtv yet, now is a great time because prices are at an all time low.

I LOVE IT! Hehe, been playing around with it for the last two hours. Now I think I'll let the break-in DVD run its course.
SD content (fta) looks awesome on this tv. Great upscaler. I had an olevia 27" before and SD looked terrible on it. And when I do full screen, everything looked stretched out. Not with this Panasonic. I love it!
I had to create my own little antenna using a short RG6 cable lol just to see how OTA HD looks Will get a 99c one tomorrow
Xmas came early indeed ^^
@goose, I don't think I'll be hanging mine up for several reasons (terrified of it falling down is one heh). My living is rather small (and cozy) and the couch is relatively low. So a TV stand is the perfect height. Just need a nicer one.
@mvc, thanks. I've had this nick for ever. If you see itaintrite anywhere on the net, it's most likely me. heh.
