Not sure where to post this. The error message NO NET ID implies my dish is not pointing at the right bird, however there are some strange things that make me think this isnt the issue. I just installed a 2nd dish pointed at 91 W Nimiq hooked it into my original dish pointing at 110 & 119. I'm running an SV360 premier and an NFusion Phoenix. When I go to scan the antnenna on the 2nd dish for 91W I enter the sat and next to it I get a message No Net ID where the sat should be. It's not locking onto the sat. I did some research and found out that the No Net ID message is because I'm not hitting the satellite. So I did a scan of 91 W with my SV360 even though I know it doesnt get BEV on it and it locked and scanned all the channels in just fine. So I have to assume I'm pointing at the right bird. Any advice?

I could get all PPV channels over 80% quality signal, but for some reason I can't get channel 455.

Is their a special settings for this channel?

On my signal meter, it keeps blinking red on 22khz and H/V stays constant green

I believe it on TP 13 12399

I am trying to aim a Direct tv dish with a universal lnb i got from a friend. I am using a sf90c satfinder. The instructions say to turn the knob all the way up until I hear the tone and the meter should read between 5 & 6. when I turn the knob all the way up, I get the tone however the meter reads full scale. if i turn the knob down until the tone just goes off, the needle reads 1. I can't seem to get the meter needle to read between 5 & 6, only 1 or full scale. am I doing something wrong?

i am looking into getting a motorized dish i just want to know a few things witch one would be a reliable one i would be watching 129,110,119,110,91,82 i live in calgary , right now i have all these set up on a elleptical sattelite but i am not getting good signal and i am getting another reciever hd reciever to set up with the motor. , what would be the best set up to get the best signal and quality a 1.2m sat with wut kind of motor? or would i need like a 39" 33" etc.. price does not matter with me.

I have purchased a 36 inch Dish with a KU-LNB DIGIWAVE (DGL-990D)in oder to get Hispasat and Telstar, I am able to get 70 on signal and only 20 quality. Has anyone had a similar problem, any tips?

I am trying to setup the following but coming across some problems in getting all the birds I want. Here’s what I have:

nfusion solaris box
a 1000+ (wide) dish
4x4 switch
appropriate brackets and LNBs

I’m trying to get the 110, 119 and 118.7 birds. I realize for 118.7 you need a special wide dish and circular LNB which I’ve got. My brackets allow me to add a fourth LNB but for now I’m only going to work with these 3. Can someone tell me what settings (elevation, skew and azimuth) I need to have to point the dish? I know it may be a stupid question, but with 3 birds do you just find the elevation, skew, and azimuth settings for one and the other two should work anyway or is there an average you take of the three to get these values?

Also, does the order make a difference when I connect the cables to the 4x4 switch? And finally, what are the menu settings I should set in my receiver’s dish pointing screen? Thanks a lot for any help.

I know you've probably read a lot of newbie help requests, I know I have before posting. I simply haven't found anyone with my situation yet. Maybe this will present a challenge to you. I'm an American living in Papua New Guinea with a background in computers. This probably explains my interest in trying to make FTA work. I was searching for an interesting hobby AND tv channels. Enough jibber jabber.

I'm a relative newbie to FTA satellite. I have however, read much online before coming to the point where I would post.

My lat/long is 6.40659/145.9633
I derived this from my GPS. I derived my sat math from several websites, all of which have been mentioned in these forums before. I do want to thank you as a complete newbie with no instructions, using your site I was able to get at least 2 channels going.

I ordered a complete FTA solution from an in-country provider however when I received the equipment there were absolutely no manuals of any kind, AND one of the lnb mounting poles (tripod) was dented or slightly bent.

I have therefore researched and based on pictures, believe I have assembled everything right.

I have a 1.8m prime focus (phoenix) solid dish. I have mounted it with a crystal clear line of sight in 360 degrees on my roof. The pole is plumb, as plumb as I can get it here. The LNB is a Zinwell C band.

I have aligned it for AsiaSat3 and have tuned in 1 transponder on my Dreamax DT470 decoder to about 45% Quality/ 44% Level.

This allows two or three other transponders to tune in, and their channels. Still I'm not happy with barely having a green signal on 3 TP's and I'd like more channels.

So I got back up on my roof and started skewing the lnb. There are no marking as to which way is 0degrees, so I started rotating it using the Fconnector as my guide for how much I was turning it.

As a result the best signal is with the F connector down around 6 o'clock.
And then, if I moved it out of the feedhorn a bit... the further back the better, changing the focal point... it got even better signal.

I'm peaking out at 47% and I still think that reception is not good enough.

I'm wondering if perhaps the tripod arms holding it are somehow forcing it to misalign and I'm losing signal.

Based on what I've read here.

I used a digital inclinometer and a magnetic compass AND a gps compass to aim it. I'm concerned that because there was no assembly instructions on the dish, that maybe I got the feedhorn and lnb aligned improperly.

I've been taking my time with this, making small adjustments over several days, and the most promising results I've had was moving the lnb back a bit until it was fully out of the feedhorn and I lost all signal.

If you have any tips for me, I sure would appreciate it, as I'd like to see my signal almost double.

I have zero assistance here as the satellite company can not reach my location to help with installation. So I have no idea what type of signal strength I can expect at my location.

I am suspicious that my LNB is not directly at the focal point, even though I've tried all the suggestions I've read here... measuring, adjusting, skewing, bending, all of it. I simply can NOT get over 45%.

Any help?

I have a DISH 500 DP+ twin and a 322G dual receiver. I can get 110 (60 - 65 sig strength) but I've been trying for 3 days to get get 119. The skew is set to 125° which is correct for my area. My check switch screen shows the following data for both inputs:

Twin Twin X

So I just had a thought. When I disconnected this receiver from my house in another state to bring to PA, the incoming coax line connected to a signal separator. That, in turn was connected to two five inch cables going into Sat1 & Sat 2 on the receiver.

Someone told me I should run dual RG6 cable from the LNB which I did. Since I had two cables, I just hooked each end into each of the receiver inputs.

PORT1 ----------------->Sat 1
LNB............................ 322G (dots are space holders for clarity)
PORT2------------------>Sat 2

It seemed like the logical thing to do. Now I'm thinking that maybe it's wrong! Maybe I should have used one cable and the separator like this:

Port1 ------>|Splitter|---->Sat 1
LNB ................\
Port2................\------>Sat 2

If so - why are there two ports on the LNB? Unless maybe to connect 2 single receivers??? If the second diagram is correct then is there any reason to run dual RG6 cable??

Hi Everyone.

I have a Dish 500 with two single DP Pro LNBs.

I have a great signal and quality on 110. I have skewed the Dish for my location but I can't get 119 to work on port 1.

When I use port 2 with 119 I have a good signal and quality, and get 110 showing up in the right hand corner over the blue back-drop. When I use port 1, I get nothing.

I have tried two disqec switches with the same results. I have hooked directly into the Nfusion Nuvenio, 110 works great, nothing for 119 although it shows good quality and signal on port 2.

I've been reading and playing with this for a couple of days. Any help would be greatly appreciated
