The Live Broadcast Will Begin at 6:30 P.M. Pacific on HBO East

Chad Dawson vs. Glen Johnson

The long awaited and eagerly anticipated rematch between undefeated two-time light heavyweight champion and Connecticut’s favorite son,Chad Dawson, and former world champion Glen Johnson is on

The world title rematch pits Dawson, the light heavy weight division’s kingpin, defending his world championship belt against Johnson, the man who gave him the stiffest test and closest shave of his career.

In their first battle, which took place in April 2008, the two squared off with Dawson’s WBC light heavyweight title on the line. Dawson came away with a hard-earned unanimous decision, but the entire boxing world was left clamoring for more from these world-class fighters.

Chad Dawson
A few minutes of speed bag followed, before Dawson (28-0, 17 KOs), who got a few encouraging words from special guest Floyd Mayweather Sr., wrapped up with the taxing task of media interviews.

“I can handle it. It felt good,” said a sweaty and smiling Dawson of his so-called off day. “I’m working on pure boxing, the things I got to do for Glen Johnson.

“Everything’s good. I’m ready to take on Johnson and put to rest this idea that he should have won the last fight.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The 40-year-old Johnson (49-12-2, 33 KOs) — who lost to Dawson by a somewhat controversial, yet unanimous decision (all three judges scored the bout 116-112) in April 2008 — tipped the scales in his hometown of Miami at 181.6 pounds.

“I think Chad knows I mean business by coming in at 181.6 pounds 30 days out,” Johnson said. “I am ready for this fight and I am taking it very seriously.

“I feel great. Let’s get it on.”
Dawson says no problem, but he thinks while the fans want to see the WBC rematch, not much will change from their first meeting.

“A lot of people think that HBO made me take this fight. HBO didn’t make me take this fight,” said Dawson, who has scored two impressive 12-round, unanimous decision wins over Antonio Tarver since he faced Johnson.

“I could have went and defended my IBF title against Tavoris Cloud (mandatory IBF challenger) and forget about Glen Johnson. But I feel this is what the fans wanted, and I wanted to give the fans the rematch.”
Dawson also wants to send a special message to Johnson.

“This fight I want to leave no doubt with him, his team or the judges. If it goes 12 rounds, I want a unanimous, unanimous decision.”

The Undercard
Alfredo Angulo vs. Harry Joe Yorgey

Nicolay Valuev vs. David Haye

WBA Heavyweight Title

North American boxing fans can view the anticipated “David vs. Goliath” WBA heavyweight title fight between Nikolai ‘The Russian Giant’ Valuev and David ‘The Hayemaker’ Haye, live on PPV on Saturday, Nov. 7 from Nuremberg, Germany!

The broadcast is being distributed by Integrated Sports in the United States by Integrated Sports for live viewing at 3 PM/ET – 12 PM/PT on both cable and satellite pay-per-view via iN Demand, DIRECTV, TVN, Viewer’s Choice and Bell TV for a suggested retail price of only $24.95. A replay will be shown that same night at 9 PM/ET, 6 PM/PT.

The question to be answered is will the smaller yet faster Haye bring his explosiveness to the heavyweight division against an opponent he will be giving away 9 inches in height and about 100 pounds in weight to. Many boxing experts think Haye has the perfect skill set of speed and power to frustrate the bigger and taller champion. Valuev claims he has faced and defeated numerous fighters with superior speed.

Nikolai Valuev (50-1 with 34 KOs)
Russian
7', 85" reach, 315 lbs. and 36 years old
Two-time WBA Heavyweight Champion

WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev (50-1, 34 KOs), from St. Petersburg, Russia, has fought and defeated a “Who’s Who” of heavyweight champions including Evander Holyfield, John Ruiz (twice), and Sergey Lyakhovich. He is also the tallest and heaviest champion in history at a daunting 7 feet and 325 pounds.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

David Haye (22-1 with 21 KOs)
British
6'3", 78" reach, 215 lbs. and 29 years old
Former Undisputed World Cruiserweight Champion

David Haye, (22-1, 21 KOs), from London, England, wreaked havoc on the cruiserweight division with a knockout percentage over 90 percent. He left the division last year to move up to heavyweight, while still on top as the unified WBA/WBC/WBO cruiserweight champion.

"My job is to knock out Nikolai Valuev and become the heavyweight champion of the world. I will be the first British champion since Lennox Lewis and that has always been my aim, to be a two-weight world champion"

The Undercard

LOS ANGELES -- Manny Pacquiao believes the biggest potential fight in boxing will never happen because Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants no part of him.

Pacquiao is training in Hollywood for his meeting with Miguel Cotto on Nov. 14 in Las Vegas, but the pound-for-pound champion spared a moment Thursday to evaluate his chances of fighting Mayweather, the unbeaten pay-per-view king. Although the matchup almost certainly would be a financial bonanza for both fighters, Pacquiao thinks fans shouldn't hold their breath.

"I don't think it's going to happen," Pacquiao said. "I'm sure he doesn't want to fight."

Mayweather has been circumspect about his plans for his next bout, saying only that he has never ducked anybody and would consider any opponent. In his comeback bout from a 21-month layoff, Mayweather demolished Juan Manuel Marquez on Sept. 19 in a fight that generated more than 1 million pay-per-view buys.

Mayweather's advisers claim they haven't ruled out a bout with Pacquiao, likely among the world's few fighters who could match Money's speed. But the Filipino champion has surprisingly strong opinions about why it won't happen.

"Boxing for him is like a business," Pacquiao said. "He doesn't care about the people around him watching. He doesn't care if the fight is boring, as long as the fight is finished and he gets [plenty of] money. ... I want people to be happy. You have a big responsibility as a boxer."

If Mayweather and Pacquiao don't make a deal, Sugar Shane Mosley has been outspoken in his desire to fight Mayweather, even calling him out in the ring moments after his victory over Marquez. Mosley is slated to meet welterweight champion Andre Berto in Las Vegas in January.

After arriving in California last Saturday, Pacquiao has been ramping up his training regimen this week while also battling jet lag that forced him to sleep for about 20 hours on Wednesday, wiping out a day of training. Because of tax issues, Pacquiao's camp began in Manila and moved to Hollywood later than trainer Freddie Roach usually prefers.

"I'm not worried about it, because he's always known how to block everything out," Roach said. "If anybody can do it, he can."

Pacquiao looked fairly sharp while sparring 11 rounds Thursday at Roach's Wild Card Gym in front of a small group of spectators including Los Angeles Lakers forward Ron Artest and his father, Ron Sr., both avid boxing fans and Pacquiao admirers.

Pacquiao will spar 12 rounds on Saturday before gradually scaling back in preparation for his trip to Las Vegas to meet Cotto, the once-beaten welterweight champion whose combination of size and strength will be unlike anything the former flyweight champion has faced. Cotto is in camp in Tampa. Fla., before traveling to the West Coast next week.

"I consider this one of the hardest fights in my boxing career," Pacquiao said.

Hector Camacho Jr. vs. "Yory Boy" Campas

LATINO INVASION 2: REVENGE OF THE SON
LIVE ON PAY PER VIEW, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30 9 PM ET/ 6 PM PT
FROM THE DON HASKINS CENTER AT UTEP EL PASO, TX

Puerto Rican Camacho Jr. to defend WBC Caribbean Boxing Federation Belt
against Mexican “Yory Boy” Campas

Hector ‘Machito’ Camacho, Jr. and Luis ‘Yory Boy’ Campas will face off in what fight fans expect to be a challenging and exciting 12 round championship fight which promises to provide great boxing entertainment and a little drama as well. The 30 year old Camacho, Jr., son of former 4-time world champion, Hector “Macho Man” Camacho, will be looking to jump back into the world title picture when he defends his WBC Caribbean Light Middleweight title against Campas, a 2-time world champion from Mexico. The Camacho Jr. vs Campas championship fight is scheduled for 10 rounds.

“This fight card will provide great entertainment for the boxing enthusiast”, said promoter Zeferino Ramirez. “The fight fans will see a tough fight with some good solid boxing with the Camacho Jr. vs. Campas brawl. Campas will make ‘Machito’ rise to the occasion and will either wipe the smile off his face or he will have to get on a horse and ride into the sunset”, added Ramirez.”

The promoter added, “As for Camacho Jr., he will face an opponent who has fought the best and is still going strong. He needs to demonstrate that he can deal with an experienced fighter or see his title aspirations fade away.”

Camacho, Jr., originally from Puerto Rico but now fighting out of Orlando, Florida comes in with a 49-3-1 (27 KO’s) record. In addition to being the current WBC Caribbean champion, he has held the USBO Welterweight crown and NABA Light Welterweight title.

For Camacho, Jr., this fight is personal considering Campas just fought a draw with his famous father last May. “Yeah, I have a score to settle with Yory Boy,” he stated. “This is not just important to me, but my dad also. He thought he won the fight between them and now, I have to come in and make sure there is no doubt.”

This will be Camacho, Jr’s. second fight in El Paso, so he knows the fight fans well.

“I enjoyed my first fight there back in 1998 and have seen a lot of fights on TV from there. I’ve always wanted to come back to fight a meaningful fight in El Paso. As always, I’m looking forward to putting on a show for them, added Camacho, Jr.”

The 38 year old Campas is one of Mexico’s all-time greats, building an impressive 92-14-2 (74 KO’s) record over his almost 19-year professional career. He is a 2-time world champion, having captured the IBF World Light Welterweight and Welterweight titles during his career that began in 1991.

Campas won his first 56 bouts, including 50 by knockout. In a battle with Puerto Rican icon Felix Trinidad in 1994, Campas floored him. Trinidad wound up stopping Yory Boy in a stirring scrap. He lost his Welterweight crown to Fernando Vargas and also fought world champion Oscar De La Hoya, and several other greats.

Campas has shown his ring relevance first in a narrow loss to unbeaten Irish stand out John Duddy and then with an amazing, first round KO over ex-world champ Alejandro “Terra” Garcia in Tijuana last Nov. 8.

Duddy was 17-0 when he fought Campas, sustaining cuts over both eyes and winning a hotly disputed decision. The damage done by Campas put Duddy out of action for six months and the Irishman’s handlers refused to consider a rematch.

Some thought Campas might be declining but then came his sizzling, shocking upset over the

26-3 Garcia, the former WBA junior middleweight champion. Campas floored Garcia three times in a one-round blitzkrieg.

Some have forgotten but Campas even surpassed Rocky Marciano’s magic mark of 49-0.
