the "pound" is a fenced in spot on the shore to keep lobsters kind of loose because if you keep them cramped up in the crates they will die. you also can feed them and harden their shell if it is soft, they are worth more with a hard shell.

I did see them, they are wonderful!! Do you get lobster from that place on the island? The lobster pound? Why do they call it a pound? Thanks!
